Rusty #03-077 (Fostered in Twin Cities Metro Area)) Hi! My name is Rusty. I am a 3 year old male with a lot of spunk. I have the most beautiful eyes and I am a purebred with papers. I am going to the vet on Friday to have my surgery (do I have to??) and I will be ready to be adopted to my forever family on Monday. I am fully house trained, had my class one obedience training and I am now learning how to get along with other dogs. My foster family thinks I am a really handsome dark golden with a lot of personality. If you think I might be the dog for you please let RAGOM know as I would love to become a part of your family. I do not do too well with kids under the age of 5 though as they tend to scare me a little. I am not an aggressive guy but I am vocal when I am playing.
UPDATES: 4/13/03: Rusty, now Riley, has found his forever family and they all just love him. He likes to swim and plays with the in laws little dog nicely. Riley and the cat have made a pact to just ignore each other. We are really happy for Riley and his forever family. 4/11/03: We heard from the Z family the other day and they have renamed Rusty to Riley and he is doing really good. He is playing with their mother in law's little shitzu and has adapted to the cat ok. He has gone swimming already and it sounds like he is very happy with them. I will be calling them on Sunday to see how everything is going after one week. Yeah, Riley! We are glad you got yourself a wonderful forever family!!! 4/6/03: Rusty has been adopted out by the Z family. He is going to be on about 25 acres of land with a pond to swim in and a very loving and devoted family. 4/5/03: Hi this is Rusty 03-077 again.
I had my surgery done yesterday - don't tell the girls! - and managed to lick my wound last night so now it is red :-( My foster mom is making me wear this stupid white thing and does it look like I am enjoying it at all?? Look at this snow and I can't even enjoy it!!
I am ready to go to my forever family now so if you are interested please let RAGOM know. 4/2/03: Well I have spent my first night with my foster parents and I did well. I did not like getting into the bath but once there I liked it. I love to get brushed afterwards and sit really nicely for you. We went for a walk last night and my foster mom said that I need to be kept on a tight lead otherwise I get distracted by things around me. I met Logan 03-075 and we are pretty much trying to figure out who is more dominant which did end up in one fight so far. We generally get along but if my foster mom is with us I prefer to have her to myself and she thinks I am a little protective. If you don't have another dog or you could give the time to get used to one (I have never been around one before) I would love to find a forever family. I do start to growl if voices get raised but I did grow up in an environment where that was a daily thing. So if you are interested in me please let RAGOM know. |
