Bailee #03-134

(Fostered in Twin Cities Metro Area)

I am a little nervous as this is my first time writing and my foster mom said I need to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Bailee with an "e" and I will be one in June. I am a very nice looking purebred gal who has a small under bite as well as one eyelid that turns in just like my foster sister Faith 03-087. My foster mom came to pick me up and I had a long drive home. Unfortunately I did not like the car ride and I got sick a number of times on the ride home. I ended up getting a bath when I got here and it is not my most favorite thing but my foster family ooohhed and ahhhed when they gave me a pet afterwards. I guess I have very soft fur. I am getting along well with Faith and Robin 03-115 and I will be going to the vet soon to get a check up and to get spayed. My foster family thinks I am the female version of Caesar 03-093 just not as furry. Well I am getting a little tired now so I am going to lay down and have a nap. Hope you all have a great weekend I know I will!!

UPDATES:

6/3/03:  Hi everyone it is me, Bailee, again. I have had my eye surgery and have been spayed and I am now recovering. As you can see from the pictures they had to shave under my eyes so I look a little silly right now but my eyes feel so much better!!

My foster mom says it is nice that they no longer run all the time. I hear I have been a good girl with only one accident in the house since I have been here. I have been having fun with Faith 03-087 and I heard she found her forever home. YEAH Faith!! Well I am going to go outside and enjoy this beautiful day with my foster family so I will write some more another time.

5/30/03:  We got a call from the vet's office and Bailee's surgery went well. There will be a slightly higher charge for sedation but not what it would have been if she had to be done twice. She did have some fur that was growing in her lower lids (by the eyeball) so they removed those as well. She will need to recover for 2 weeks and get the eye med I already have 3 times a day. So Bailee will not be available for approximately 2 - 21/2 weeks depending on healing.

5/30/03:  Hi everyone this is Bailee again. I am a little nervous as I am going to get spayed today and I am having eye surgery done to correct my eye lids. My foster mom tells me that I will not be ready to start looking for a forever home for at least 10 days while I recover and then get my stitches out. I will have to go back to the vet and see what they think about my eyes. I am adjusting well to life here however my foster mom says I need to stop stealing their shoes and clothes. I have lots of toys around but I just can't seem to help myself they are soooo tempting!! My foster parents are extremely surprised that I have not had one accident in the house since I was an outside dog but they are very proud of me :-) I have gone to a couple of my foster brothers ball games and did well on the gentle leader however I kept trying to get it off and do not know how to walk on a leash properly as I keep cutting in and out in front of my foster mom. She said she is going to end up stepping on me if I don't stop! I love to run around the yard but I hear that I am going to have to slow down a bit for the next few days after my surgery. I am sure my foster parents will have a great time keeping me calm ;-) Well this is all my news for now. I will keep you updated on my progress the next week or so.
