Dozer #04-123 (Fostered in Twin Cities Metro Area) Dozer, from a Newton, KS humane society,
is a 3 year old neutered male who arrived there on March 17th. He is HW+ and
started his heartworm treatment on 4/08/2004 and is doing well. He is
up-to-date on his shots and is micro-chipped. UPDATES: 5/1/04: Dozer spent the day at the Humane Society Walk for Animals. He had to hang out on the sidelines and watch since he is still at the end of his heartworm treatment. It didn't stop him from making new friends, he even had the chance to make some artwork with his paw prints. He walks great on his Gentle Leader and rides in the car well.
Dozer is energetic and smart, he even figured out a way to tell us he needs to go outside. We do keep Dozer crated when we leave the house, at night he sleeps in our bedroom on his dog bed. He loves to cuddle and is as sweet as he could be. 4/28/04: Dozer is a very active and friendly guy who loves to play and receive attention. He would be a great candidate for obedience training so that he could be a better behaved companion for his new family.
Dozer would love to find a home with a fenced back yard and plenty of room for him to exercise and play. He is very excited to find a new home with a loving family. He is very good with other dogs and cats.
They did recommend children 10 and up. He is very playful around children and is outgoing, always been an outside dog and knows sit and shake. He is now safely at his foster home with two other dogs and a cat after a long drive with 20 other dogs and 4 cats. Dozer is settling in quite nicely with his new foster home and should be available for adoption in two weeks.
05/04: ust wanted to drop you line and update you on Dozer (who
is know known as Bailey). Bailey is doing great. He wouldn't eat for a day or so
but we were able to find a combination of dry and wet food that is just for him.
The kids are keeping him quite busy and he just loves them. The attention
he is getting is just massive. He has some habits (I have to admit we are still
promoting) like getting up on furniture, that we need to work on. But he
is just so sweet and loveable we want him to be near us as much as he
wants to be near us. |
