Puppies #02-209 - #02-218

These cute little kids made their way to RAGOM in St. Louis Park from an animal shelter in Southern Minnesota.  It was a hot and humid dog day.  A tank and a half of gas was burned picking these pups, mom and another big boy up (Buddy #02-200: no relation) and bringing them into foster care.  They are purebred goldens and just as cute as can be.  Since a long road trip was required to bring them in, they were given RAGOM names after cars spotted along the route.

Mom, Chelsey #02-208, (not available for adoption) is a very loving girl with people as well as her pups.

She is taking wonderful care of them and, when they are eight weeks old, will be happy to let them go to new loving forever homes.

Please welcome to this world...

UPDATES:

8/1/02:  The puppies are 4 weeks old today and are they growing and growing and getting too cute! They are starting to nip on each other and are finding their big dog voices! Thank you to ALL the volunteers and helper that have stopped for puppy kisses, cleaned up, washed up and walked Chelsea. Also, Big thanks for all the donations of food, toys, paper towels, wipes, etc.

What a difference a week makes!  These little cuties have their eyes wide open, have doubled in size, and get into everything.  They are just adorable and are very healthy.  Their personalities are really starting to show.  Astro is quite the little trouble maker.  He escapes from his box and gets his little puppy teeth on everything - he's going to be a huge handful!  ;)

The puppies have been exposed to all kinds of people.  Lots of kids come over to play with them and help with their care.  These guys will certainly be well socialized.  Momma Chelsey is taking excellent care of her pups, making sure they are growing strong and learning the ropes as well.  She is very sweet and tender, but also quick with the discipline.  (Her babies don't decide when its mealtime, she does!)

That's about it to report for now.  Seven of the ten pups have been spoken for and the last three should be easy to place as well.  These lucky little ones get to go to their forever homes on Labor Day weekend.
