Minetonka Petco ~ April 15, 2006

RAGOM set up today at the Minnetonka Petco.   4 Application fee's handed were turned in.  RAGOM had 17 volunteers signed in with 14 dogs present.  We got a visit from newly adopted Olson now Andy and his new Mom and her 2 friends she walks with their golden girls also. The Welcomes came with Mia and Sammy. We got to meet a new 14 week old golden and his owner that would like to volunteer as she is nearing retirement ( my niece sent her on to RAGOM). All the dogs visited and played their way into everyone's heart, we think we found families for most of them; Oakley might not have to return to the north, an already approved family very interested in him. Smiley and Jose Belle were very busy meeting families, Boomer just is there, and turns on the charm. Lucky Lindy is very petite and liked to put paws  up on the table when no one was paying attention to her. They all left very tired after another successful PetCo day.

Burnsville Petco ~ April 8, 2006

RAGOM had a good turnout at the April 8 th Petco in Burnsville .  We had 18 volunteers and 14 RAGOM dogs. $260 in total sales.  We met one of our black puppies, Sasha, she is still shy but  is doing well.  Paul & Olson sure were great boys, shaking hands ( paws) and taking treats so gently, glad they could get out of Boarding to come.  Shadow also was out of boarding for a break and did really well, we all noticed his limping, that if that has not been checked out should be looked into.  Breaker didn't need to go to be boarded he is going to stay at his present foster home with Sara O, I gave her some tips and games to play with him, nice boy. Emma Jean has a homevisit to get to in Rochester on Sunday, so went home with Jill V. Boomer had several families asking for an older dog.  Dewey sure was a big hit, with that cute personality and large head. Keota, Josie Belle, Duke, Jake and Haley all were on their best behavior so they could get attention also. Pepper and Alex were there to represent already adopted RAGOM dogs from the largest age group difference, Alex came in at 11 ½ and Pepper came in at 1 day old. .

April 2, 2006

RAGOM spent Sunday April 2, 2006 at the University of Minn. Vet. Teaching Hospital Open House greeting people and handing out brochures, and literature about RAGOM. We meet people that adopted in 1999 and just lost their RAGOM golden, and a couple that would like to foster for our group. We meet 2 young Boy Scouts in uniform and their leader and told them we could have some projects they could handle, so hope to hear again from them. The donation jar collected $23. 04-238 Ford gave kisses to every child. Thanks to Judi H, and Becky L for giving me a break to get some lunch, and Brian T for helping out the last 2 hours and hauling the donated boxes of dog packets given to RAGOM.

Our Ragom booth had six dogs in attendance. Beryl B with Kula and Raz, Cheryl D with George and Lucky, Nelva A with General, and Jane N with Ford. Ruth V also had RAGOM adopted dog Griffy there for Therapy Group. The RAGOM donation jar received $ 25.55.

We gave out brochures, trash bags, some bone pens. Everyone was so glad to meet dogs they had read about on the website. Ford got to meet the Humane Society gal that he spent his first night with, before coming into RAGOM. Our booth was next to a 4-year-old alligator and several snakes. The dogs were great. The little kids had their faces licked and the parents all said they l ove the RAGOM website. The dogs all left very tired.
