The purpose of Retrieve A Golden of Minnesota, Inc., a full service rescue organization, is to:

• Provide a high quality of life for Golden Retrievers who can no longer remain in their current environments
• As possible, provide Golden Retriever rescue group functions, including thorough veterinarian examinations and treatments
• Cooperate with state and local authorities in the enforcement of laws related to the welfare and control of dogs
• Encourage, educate and promote responsible dog ownership and good canine citizenship

What We Do

Retrieve A Golden of Minnesota can help you if you are searching for a golden retriever to adopt or if you have a Golden that you are unable to keep any longer. We will take in the "surrendered" dogs and have them spayed or neutered, get them caught up on veterinary care, microchip them, foster them, and match them with new homes. If you are looking for a golden, anywhere from a young dog to a dignified senior dog, we will meet with you and help you to find the right golden for your life and your family.

How Do We Do This?

Frankly, it isn't easy. It takes a lot of volunteers giving a lot of their time, a lot of organization, a lot of experience, and a lot of money. We have volunteers with experience in show Goldens, obedience, field work, agility, flyball and other canine activities. We have volunteers who are qualified to evaluate temperament, and loving foster homes that will help teach the dog some basic manners and what it is like to live in a house where someone loves him.
